Oh man! I've heard people talk about Yak and Yeti and we actually used to live probably like a mile and a half down Hampden from here; but for whatever reason we just finally tried it. Boy oh boy am I glad we finally checked it out!
The food here really is fantastic. We got a nice array of dishes to try: Chicken Tikka (super moist and flavorful, onions were the perfect texture to compliment) Saag Paneer, Mattar Paneer, and Chicken Vindaloo. We got the peas Indian spicy and the rest hot. It was all delicious, a nice heat level! Of course you always have to get a side of Mint Chutney. I will say the one part of this meal that had us like meh was the naan. But honestly who even cares when the rest is so bomb!
Decided to order takeout and it was really good. The food didn't take too long and they package everything individually that ensures no leakage. I ordered only veggie dishes this time and all of them were delicious. The samosas and potato filling were perfectly seasoned and the dough was nice and crispy. The baingan barta was sooo good- the fire roasted eggplant mashed with some amazing Indian spices. The chana saag was delicious, creamy spinach with chickpeas.. yumm! All of these dishes were ordered hot in terms of spice level and I could definitely taste/feel the heat which is exactly what I like! The garlic naan had the nice char grilled bubbles on it and I enjoyed scooping up the saag with it. I appreciate the bold spices and the deep flavors of the Indian cuisine and this place does not shy away from any of that.
Food is delicious, very nice Event Center for Weddings, Parties, and very clean. The Chef used to work at upscale resorts and now we are fortunate to have him at Yak&Yeti.
This restaurant also has a beautiful outdoor patio which is perfect for relaxing cocktails or the famous Spice Trade Beers.
A must GO place.
Great service and amazing food. We went for lunch and had papadam, garlic naan, chicken tikka and a paneer dish. All was very tasty and I will definitely be back!
Recommended by a friend. Tried the honey curry chicken (!yum!) and momos which were SO good... naan, chai, carrot pudding...all was delicious. Looking forward to going back!
